Evangelist

Rev. Dr. Ian Dunn (DMin, ThD)

We are excited to have Rev. Dr. Ian Dunn (DMin, ThD) back again this year as our Evangelist for our 2026 Ivanhoe Family Camp.

Ian Dunn pastored for 33 years in various roles, with significant focus in teaching, training and equipping, worship, and prayer counseling ministries. He left pastoral ministry to pursue a Theology doctorate, and develop a ministry focused on teaching and writing—his two great ministry passions.

He completed his first book: “Rescuing the Beauty”, in 2006, a book primarily for men that focuses on building strong marriages. He just completed co-authoring a book called: “Engaging the Person and Work of the Holy Spirit”, with his long-time friend, Rev. Dr. Stephen Elliott, the National Superintendent of the Wesleyan Church in Canada that is awaiting approval from the publisher.

He completed his Doctor of Ministry degree in 2017, with a focus on how to help people experience the love of God as Father, thus moving the church toward becoming a true spiritual family. He is now a mentor to doctoral students through Global Awakening and United Theological Seminary, the Executive Assistant to the National Superintendent of the Wesleyan Church of Canada, lecturing at theological institutions, and just received his Theology Doctorate in Historical Renewal Studies.

Ian is happily married to Janice, his wife of 43 years. He has three children (Jonathan, Krista, and Jake) and seven wonderful grandchildren (Ryan, Owen, Georgia, Ainsley, Haley, Raelyn, and Jameson).

We look forward to having him join us this summer and hope you are blessed by the Word he brings each evening!

We are excited to have Connie Tryan back in our leadership at Ivanhoe Camp this year! She is no stranger to our camp; having led many classes throughout the years. This year, during our Family Camp, she is leading a NEW! program we are introducing during the evening services (from the first Saturday evening service, through to the last Friday night service).

We invite our children in JK-Gr. 6 to come learn with Connie about God’s awesome creation and participate in an exciting craft and experiment!
